3-Phase Decanter Centrifuge is used for Solids / Oil / Water separation, and based on GN Technical Team's experience, the separated oil from decanter has about 3% content of moisture + impurities. And if the fed sludge can be Solid < 10 % and Particle size < 2mm, there would be better performance. The Oil can be re-sale for Industry application, and water can be recycled in the system or discharged to city sewer system. And Decanter Cake can be used for Fertilizer or animal feed.

Here is working principle about 3-Phase Decanter Centrifuge

The centrifuge is composed of two rotors, one drum (2), and the other is screw (3). When the drum rotates at high speed, the slurry in the drum rotates with the drum and is subjected to centrifugal force. This centrifugal force is many times larger than gravity, so the solid particles will be separated from the liquid and settled on the inner wall of the rotating drum from the axis of the centrifuge drum. The screw rotates at a speed lower than that of the rotating drum and pushes the deposited solid particles to the slag outlet (1). The differential speed of the outer rotating drum and the screw (affecting the slag pushing speed) depends on the transmission ratio of the differential and its speed. The heavy-duty liquid has centrifugal force and is divided into two layers. The heavy phase layer is drawn against the wall of the drum by the centripetal pump (4) and discharged from the heavy phase outlet (6). The light phase layer is close to the spiral end, thrown out by centrifugal force from the overflow, and then discharged from the light phase outlet (5). The whole work is continuously completed between the closed upper and lower shells.

GN Company completed production of one unit of Decanter Centrifuge, Model GNLW454EP-VFD, by this week. This decanter is for sludge dewatering in waste water treatment plant. It's now under final painting and factory test, and it would be shipped by next week.

P series Decanter Centrifuge is mainly used to separate material including large particle size, high density difference of solid and liquid, low viscosity, high concentration, and high dryness of cake discharged from Decanter Centrifuge.

Here are features about GN Dewatering Decanter Centrifuge,

1. Protecting Screw Propeller, Solids Discharge Port, and Sludge Distribution Port with Tungsten carbide material, which helps to extend working hours of machine.

2. 2 Motors for decanter, both are VFD control, and it is common DC bus mode. It makes the back motor to be a generator during operation, which saves power cost.

3. Oil Lubrication System for decanter centrifuge and it can lubricate the bearing at both ends constantly.

Palm Oil Mill Effluent, POME for short, comes from the water which is used to clean the fruits and wash the Palm Oil Mill processing equipment. The water is usually drained and poured into the waste water ponds. The water contains 3~5% crude palm oil. The pond works as natural filter and treatment for the effluent. The Oil and Water is separated naturally by gravity in the pond, while the water is allowed to seep into the ground with content of little oil, and some surface water is already chemically bonded. This process continues as new effluent is poured into the pond and more water is seeping down into the earth. The pond continues to get enriched with accumulated crude palm oil. Finally the oil content increases at the top of the pond. The oil would get oxidation as it is exposure to oxygen in the presence of water.

As a professional manufacturer of Decanter Centrifuge and Disc Stack Separator, GN Company can supply solution as follow:

1. Supplying dewatering machine, generally Shaker, to remove coarse particle from the sludge, that will make transportation easier from various ponds located at different locations to the factory where the finished product (Palm Acid Oil) are produced.
