There is one client from Mauritius purchasing one GNSP-10B Sludge Solids Vacuum Transferring Pump from GN Company. The plans to use this pump for cleaning lifting stations, especially some places are 6m depth and they need to suck the solids at the bottom.

The Pump can be widely used to transfer high density/viscosity sludge, high solid contented slurry, soil, sand, powder, etc. And GN Company already supplies the pump to UK, Norway, Portugal, Greece, Russia, India, UAE, Oman, Malaysia, Mexico, etc.

GN Sludge Solids Vacuum Pump is 100% Air Operation/Driven, no cost of electricity or diesel. So the pump shall be supplied with air, generally by Air Compressor, which GN Company doesn't manufacture, and we suggest you to find from local market. Air Compressor can be powered by both Electricity and Diesel, and the clients can choose right models based on the detailed situation at their places. That pump is capable to suction depth at about 8meters, and lift/head at about 80meters. And its horizontal suction distance is 50~100meters, and discharge distance is 500~1000meters.

The biggest solids size can be transferred by the Pump is 75mm, so if the solids size is too big, it cannot be sucked by our pump, and might struck inside inlet or outlet.

The pump is easier to do maintenance, as there is no impeller or rotating parts inside the Pump. And because the Pump is air operation, so it can be widely used in the dangerous, flammable, and explosive environment.

Decanter Centrifuge

It’s fact that the ultrafine particle has great widely application, such as the ultrafine clay can be used as coating on high-grade forest paper, and plastic casing filter for submarine cable, high temperature resistant materials for rocket nozzles, and petrochemical catalytic carriers, etc.But it’s difficult to separate out the Ultrafine Particles (d≤2um) by common sieving, and it shall be separated by Wet Centrifugation, that is to make solid phase particles into solution (adding some amount of dispersant), then feeding into centrifuge. With certain separation factor, solid particles larger than a certain particle size dKp would settle down, while particles smaller than dKp would not settle down, so two groups of particles larger than dKp and smaller than dKp are separated in the solution.

(1) Physical Specifications: Solids content in the suspension before classification, and the distribution of the solid phase particles, the difference between the weight of solid phase and liquid phase, the viscosity, PH, etc.

(2) Classification requirements: the division ratio dKp of the particles to be classified, and the classification efficiency (ie, the yield of dKp particles).

(3) The most common selected model is Decanter Centrifuge.

Based on specific gravity difference of solid-liquid, particle size and dKp, GN Technical Engineers would suggest the exact model, with appropriate separation factor and slip. And during separation by decanter, the particle with size greater than dKp would settle down and be discharged from the small end as solids phase, while particles smaller than dKp remain in the liquid phase, and would be discharged with the liquid phase from the large end overflow port, thereby achieving particle classification.

For the classification of particles with small processing capacity, GN Company suggest three-foot centrifuge.

The first main application for Decanter Centrifuge is for Dehydration, and it is about to separate the solid phase from the liquid phase in the suspension, and the less liquid phase in solid phase, the separation is better.

Regarding to the selection of Centrifuge model for clients' project, GN Company's Technical Department has suggestions as follow,

If solid phase concentration is high, the particles are rigid bodies or crystals, and the particle size is big, so we suggest Centrifugal Filter. If the particles are allowed to be broken, so we suggest Scraper Centrifuge. If the particles are not allowed to be broken, so we suggest Cold Pusher or Centrifugal force Unloading Centrifuge.

The dehydration performance is not only related with the material itself, but also related with the centrifuge's centrifugal force, separation time, pore size of thescreen, porosity and other parameters, as well as the material of the centrifuge, Ph, the particle characteristics and process requirements, etc.

If solid phase concentration is low, and the particle size is very fine, or it is amorphous mycelium, we suggest Three-Food Sedimentation Centrifuge or Decanter Centrifuge without filter. And the centrifugal factor, Length/Diameter ratio, flow rate, overflow radius are all selected based on particle size of solid and the difference of the specific gravity of Liquid and Solids. And if the particle size is very uneven, the coarse particles can be removed by sieving, and then dewatered by centrifuge.

If the specific gravity of solid phase and liquid phase is close, and particle size is bigger than 0.05mm, so we suggest Centrifugal Filter. And if the particle size is too fine, the filter will run seriously. And if the filter is too thin, so the dehydration performance will decrease, and the amorphous mycelia and solid particles containing oil would block the filter.

And if requirement treatment capacity is high, we suggest continuous processing machine.
